TRA501 for Walk-by and Drive-by Systems
The TRA501 is a remote data collection device containing a radio frequency transmitter/receiver. It periodically broadcasts an ”„interrogate”¦ message to all TRA500 Meter Interface Units (MIUs) within range. On hearing this signal, the TRA500s reply with their meter”¦s reading and any alarm notifications. Data collision avoidance techniques enable the TRA501 to receive up to 500 readings in response to a single interrogation. The TRA501 is compatible with most hand-held computers, route management and billing software.
