THE PRESENT SYSTEM
The collection of plant data from electrical and mechanical plant is normally a legal requirement and usually involves the manual entry of the data into a book and then into a computer. Such operations can be very time consuming and prone to error both on the plant and in the data entry process.
THE NEW SYSTEM
The PlantLog(Pro) data collection system equips each plant operator with a Dolphin® handheld computer to collect data along a pre-defined route through the plant. Once the route is complete the data in the Dolphin is downloaded automatically to an office PC for management reporting. |
